LA Survival 101

Welcome to riding in Los Angeles. It's better than you think, but you need to be smart.

1. Assume Invisibility

Drivers are not looking for you. They are looking for other cars.

2. Take the Lane

When the lane is too narrow to share side-by-side, ride in the center. It is safer to be seen and annoying than invisible and squeezed.

3. The Door Zone

Never ride within 3 feet of parked cars. Getting "doored" is one of the most common accidents in the city.
